Unlike other Offstring yo-yos, the Solar uses a large bearing and silicone pads. However, do not let this deter you as the Solar has a nice and tight bind, yet has a wide enough gap to enable Offstring players to do whips and suicides with ease. With its weight at close to 80 grams, the Solar is able to spin long enough to perform those long spinning Offstring combos that scores high with the judges at contests.
